The Directors
 |
| Peter Sergeant - Director |
Peter started his first business in 1967. An agricultural machinery sales and service business in Central NSW, he was twenty-four and just married. As he says it was fun struggling to survive in those early years. After fourteen years, the drought of the early 1980s forced him to close the business, which had become one of the biggest in Australia.
Not daunted by this, Peter has spent the time since then working with business and communities, developing and testing ideas with emerging technologies that looked promising. Along the way Peter has researched and tested many methodologies relating to businesses and communities, their related structures, technology and their role in Regional Development.
Peter is also an excellent motivational speaker and has delivered countless seminars and workshops on business and community development across Australia.
Because of Peter's real interest in improving regional areas he is relocating to Bathurst NSW after living in Sydney for the past 20 years where he has developed a large contact base for generating opportunities for regional Australia.
Ron's career started in the early 1960's with a short stay in the insurance industry before moving into take over the family business, The House of Jean Fox, a bridal gown business started by his mother in 1932.
During his long career in the Bridal industry he has become well known across Australia for his marketing and business acumen, having been involved with all facets of this very competitive industry from manufacturing, importing, exporting, franchising and of course retailing. As a pioneer of the Japanese wedding business in Australia he has been able to develop his hobby of collecting foxes, vintage cars and photography.
Ron has almost completed the succession of the Jean Fox business to the next generation. Being a country boy from Albury NSW he is once again enjoying his involvement, with rural businesses and their communities.
